Thank you KeyBank and Home Depot!
Volunteers from Home Depot and KeyBank spent a day in May helping pediatric inpatients and children who attend the Aamoth Family Pediatric Wellness Center plant strawberries, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, flowers and more. Thanks to them, children at MetroHealth will be eating fresh food -- grown on hospital grounds -- later this summer.
Do you love reading to children?
We’re recruiting volunteers to share the joy of reading with children at the MetroHealth Broadway Health Center, 6835 Broadway Avenue, in Cleveland. Volunteers in this program, called Reach Out and Read Plus, will read aloud to children waiting for appointments. They’ll also show parents and children how to use iPads, smartphones and apps to promote literacy skills. Volunteer shifts are weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Training will be held on Monday, May 19 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
If you or someone you know would like more information about this new opportunity, please contact Kathy Violand at email@example.com or 216-957-2355.
