Who Can Receive Care at the Pride Clinic?
Anyone can receive care at the Pride Clinic. You do not have to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender to be a patient, though we pride ourselves on addressing the sensitive issues of sexual minorities and their families and friends. Our Pride Clinic is a primary care center that offers accessible, comprehensive, family-centered, compassionate and culturally effective health care to all who step through our doors.
Why Does MetroHealth Have a Pride Clinic?
Research by the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) shows that due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity or expression, LGBT populations often experience barriers to receiving appropriate care which, in turn negatively impacts their health. The MetroHealth Pride Clinic is committed to removing barriers, improving access, and most importantly providing quality health care for all LGBT patients in Cuyahoga County.
