Nationally Recognized Care of Heart Failure Patients
The MetroHealth Heart & Vascular Center's Heart Failure Program offers a highly trained team of specialists working together to help you manage your disease. We are known for our work nationwide, being one of only 116 programs in the country to earn a Gold Achievement Award for the treatment of heart failure from the American Heart Association.
The program's ultimate goals are to help you have a good quality of life and to help you stay out of the hospital. We will work with you and your referring physician to develop a personalized program to fit your health needs and get the best results.
Led by Dr. Mark Dunlap, the multidisciplinary team has more than 50 years of combined experience in the treatment of heart failure. We apply the latest in disease knowledge, and focus on helping patients proactively manage their disease and lead active lives.
The Heart Failure Program team includes physicians, advanced practice nurses, and a registered dietician. They manage patient care together, working extensively with primary care providers.
As part of an academic health care institution, the Heart Failure Program can connect you with clinical research projects and cutting edge medical innovations not available at other hospitals. The team will also educate you on making the best choices for your health.
