Patient Numbers High, "Door to Doc" Times Low at MetroHealth
(Cleveland) – MetroHealth continued to add quantity to its Emergency Department in 2013 while maintaining top-of-the-line quality.
The Emergency Department had a hospital-record 107,147 patient visits in 2013. Even so, the department continued to implement new patient experience initiatives ensuring that patients and their families are treated with courtesy, dignity and compassion. Patients were also treated to efficient service with average “door to doc” times of 30 minutes.
"Through the teamwork and dedication of hundreds of employees, we are proud to continue to lead the way in providing outstanding emergency care to the residents of northeast Ohio,” remarked Dr. Charles Emerman, Chair of the Emergency Department at MetroHealth.
The administration of the Emergency Health Department and the hospital as a whole would like to thank everyone who contributed in 2013 to Northeast Ohio’s only Level 1 trauma and burn center.
