General Hospital Visiting Hours: 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Some intensive care units and other patient care areas have different visiting hours. Call Patient Information at 216-778-4141 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for visiting times in these units.

Or, after hours guests can go to the service desk in the Emergency Department entrance on Scranton Road for assistance.
MetroHealth Healing Environment Guidelines
For the comfort and safety of our patients and guests, and to create an environment that promotes healing and wellness, we ask that patients, visitors and guests:
- Be respectful and courteous of other patients, visitors, hospital staff and property
- Listen to caregivers’ instructions
- Speak softly
- Refrain from using foul or offensive language
- Supervise your children
- Limit food in waiting areas to snacks and beverages; please eat full meals in our cafeteria or other dining areas
- Keep our campus clean and use trash cans
- You must refrain from visiting your loved ones if you are feeling ill, to prevent spreading germs
- You must wash your hands when walking in and out of patients’ rooms (Use the foam, soap and water or hand sanitizer that is outside the room.)
- There is no smoking on hospital grounds
- For health reasons, Intensive Care Units do not accept flowers for patients
Our general policy is no more than two visitors per patient. There are some exceptions, so please ask a staff member about the policy on the unit you wish to visit.
For the comfort and safety of all patients, guests and employees of The MetroHealth System, please speak with a MetroHealth staff member if you observe inappropriate behavior or need assistance.
