Your visitors are welcome and can provide support to help you in your recovery. The hospital allows a family member, friend, or other individual to be present with the patient for emotional support during the course of stay. In addition the hospital prohibits discrimination in visitation based on age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture, language, physical or mental disability, socioeconomic status, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression. Here is some information for your guests:
General Hospital Visiting Hours: 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Some intensive care units and other patient care areas have different visiting hours. Call Patient Information at 216-778-4141 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for visiting times in these units.
Please note: In support of our General Hospital Visiting Hours, effective February 18, the Inpatient Towers front entrance will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. daily.
MetroHealth recognizes that there are situations when patients should be permitted to receive visitors after hours. Families can request pre-arrangements for overnight passes at the nursing station on the patient’s floor. Or, after hours guests can go to the service desk in the Emergency Department entrance on Scranton Road for assistance.

- Supervise your children
- Limit food in waiting areas to snacks and beverages; please eat full meals in our cafeteria or other dining areas
- Keep our campus clean and use trash cans
