Head and Neck Cancer Services
Early detection of cancer is urgent to prevent a fatal outcome. Cancers of the head and neck can be particularly aggressive.
Signs of cancer of the head and neck can include:
- Changes in the skin
- Recurring pain
- Prolonged hoarseness
- Sudden loss of voice
- Trouble breathing
The following symptoms may occur in advanced stages:
- Chronic cough
- Trouble breathing and swallowing
- Coughing up blood
- An obvious lump in the neck
- Persistent pain
- Weight loss
- A foul smell
If you have any of these symptoms you should see your primary care physician or an ENT physician immediately.
