In partnership with Case Western Reserve University (CASE) School of Medicine since 1914, MetroHealth Medical Center has maintained a tradition of excellence in academics and research. As a campus of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, MetroHealth offers comprehensive training programs aimed at developing the next generation of physicians and medical professionals in more than 25 disciplines. MetroHealth Medical Center is also a member of the National Cancer Institute-approved CASE University Cancer Center.
In addition, MetroHealth Medical Center continues to function as one of the three major teaching hospitals for the combined CASE Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program. MetroHealth continues to be sought after for ambulatory clinic teaching as well as inpatient hospital consultation and oncology service activities by the fellows.
