Tuberculosis Clinic
The Tuberculosis Clinic houses the Cuyahoga County Tuberculosis Program, which is the designated clinic for the reporting, treatment, and investigation of all tuberculosis cases in Cuyahoga County. We provide physician evaluaftion, treatment, and nurse case management to all residents of Cuyahoga County diagnosed with tuberculosis. Medications are provided to all patients regardless of ability to pay as required by the Ohio Revised Code. Tuberculosis patients recefived directly observed therapy from our outreach staff as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization.
The Tuberculosis Clinic offers tuberculosis skin testing, chest x-rays, and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection to anyone requesting these services. Health care coverage is requested of all.
There is a charge of $15 for tuberculosis skin testing needed for employment, school or volunteer work.
In addition to tuberculosis, our physicians have expertise in the treatment of other mycobacterial infections. We provide diagnostic testing and treatment for Mycobacterium Avium, Mycobacterium Kansasii and other non-tuberculous mycobacterial disease.

Research Program The Tuberculosis Program maintains the Tuberculosis Registry for Cuyahoga County. We publish studies of Tuberculosis Epidemiology and pathophysiology. We participate in Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine Tuberculosis Research Unit studies.
Education Interests The Tuberculosis Program provides training in tuberculosis to local medical students, residents and fellows, and nursing students. We provide training to area clinics in the placement and interpretation of the tuberculosis skin test.
