$5.4 Million in New Cancer Radiation Technology Improves Treatment
The MetroHealth Cancer Care Center is investing $5.4 million into cancer treatment technology, making MetroHealth one of the most advanced, high-quality cancer treatment facilities in Northeast Ohio.

Complications Fewer with Advanced Endoscopy
Advanced endoscopy results in fewer patient complications and faster recoveries than for those who undergo more invasive diagnostic techniques or surgery. MetroHealth has a team of highly trained advanced endoscopists who have years of experience and perform a high annual volume of procedures.

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Quality Ratings Exceed National Benchmarks
MetroHealth has very low complication rates for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and has a balanced approach when considering PCI in nonemergent cases.

Emerging Disease Concerns Pediatric Gastroenterologist
Eosinophilic esophagitis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are increasingly being seen in children.

Embolization is a Minimally Invasive Option for Treating Fibroids
Embolization is one minimally invasive option for treating fibroids, and MetroHealth's interventional radiologists are experienced with the procedure.

Basal Cell Carcinoma Mohs Case Study
Mohs surgery allows for the patient to have their cancer excised, the pathology completed and reconstruction of the surgical defect completed in one visit.

Radiofrequency Ablation vs. Antiarrhythmiac Drugs as First-Line Therapy of Atrial Fibrillation
Performing PVAI early on may be the best solution for some patients with symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF), according to MetroHealth Heart & Vascular Center experts. As the duration of AF increases, atrial enlargement and scarring makes the procedure less likely to be effective.
