MetroHealth Connection
MetroHealth Select health care network increases reach
MetroHealth Select has substantially increased its enrollment of Cuyahoga County workers — going from a total enrollment of 2,265 in 2011 to 4,406 in 2012 — saving money for both those workers and the county. And this year, the low-cost, high-quality health care narrow network is being offered to a growing number of employers in Cuyahoga County.
The medical benefit option has saved Cuyahoga County money. County employees save money because they pay no monthly premiums or annual deductibles.
MetroHealth Select, designed in collaboration with administration from Medical Mutual of Ohio, is priced significantly lower than other local hospitals, including access to low-cost prescription drugs through 340B pricing. For covered patients with a MetroHealth physician, the 340B program can result in significant savings for the employer — 20% to 50% on the cost of drugs — as well as workers.
MetroHealth Select offers excellent customer service and convenient access for patients. The program includes many personalized services for employees including an exclusive phone number to call to schedule appointments, find a physician and answer any questions.
Select members also have access to MetroHealth’s 24-hour nurse advice hotline, convenient urgent care locations and the Select newsletter with up-to-date health news, tips, trends and treatments from our physician experts.
In addition to serving Cuyahoga County workers, MetroHealth Select is offered as a benefit option for three regional municipalities: Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township and Walton Hills.
