Newest Solutions for Cardiac Problems

What: This course, presented by MetroHealth’s Heart & Vascular Center, is specifically designed for busy internal and family medicine, emergency room, other physicians, and nurse practitioners. It covers the most common cardiovascular conditions in a practical manner as well as state-of-the-art overviews by nationally recognized experts. Speakers include Leslie W. Miller, MD, Chief of Cardiology, University of South Florida, and Daniel Robinson, PhD, Philosophy Faculty, University of Oxford, Distinguished Professor, Emeritus, Georgetown University. Aqui Se Habla Espanol: Medical Spanish Content and Skills
When: Oct. 22 and 29
Where: MetroHealth Medical Center’s Rammelkamp Center, 2500 MetroHealth Drive, Cleveland
What: Increasingly, health care providers need Spanish language skills to provide appropriate care to their patients. In order to help meet this need, the Hispanic Health Committee of the Hispanic Roundtable of Cuyahoga County will offer a two-day workshop on medical Spanish content and skills. The first day will focus on doing an intake and taking medical history. The second day will have 90-minute workshops on Spanish for infancy and early childhood, mental health, nutrition, OB/GYN, diabetes and other topics. CEUs will be provided. Participants should already have intermediate Spanish conversational skills, but it is open to all.
