Allergies, Asthma & Immune Deficiencies MetroHealth’s Allergy & Immunology Clinic treats a range of conditions, including asthma, for the whole family.
Cardiology (Heart Health & Surgery) Cardiologists and thoracic surgeons provide expert care for congenital and acquired heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, high blood pressure, and other conditions.
Comprehensive Care for Children with Special Needs Our multi-disciplinary team addresses the physical, developmental, and behavioral issues of special needs patients from infants to adults.
Critical Care Dedicated, experienced clinicians care for children of all ages who require intensive monitoring and therapy in the state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Diabetes & Endocrinology Our physicians treat infants, children, and young adults with various hormonal conditions or chronic illnesses, including diabetes, growth disorders, early or delayed puberty, and thyroid disease.
Development & Behavior Leading physician Robert Needlman, MD, treats attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); dyslexia and other learning problems; and challenging behavior.
Gastroenterology The gastroenterology team specializes in treating infants, toddlers, school-age children, and adolescents with problems related to the gastrointestinal system.
Hematology/Oncology (Blood Diseases & Cancer) Inpatient and outpatient services for children and adolescents with disorders such as anemia, hemophilia, platelet disorders, and sickle cell disease.
Infectious Diseases Our specialists treat various types of infections, including prolonged or unexplained fever; pneumonia; meningitis; skin infections; bone and joint infections; and various viral, fungal and parasitic infections.
Nephrology (Kidney Health) Experienced specialists provide comprehensive treatment of kidney and urinary tract disorders, hypertension (high blood pressure), congenital malformations and cystic kidneys and urinary tract infections.
Neurology The Child Neurology team is committed to improving the quality of life of children, teenagers and young adults with neurological problems.
Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Our pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist treat a range of health issues, from sleep apnea to asthma to other respiratory conditions.
Respiratory Therapy This in-patient service offers diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients with abnormalities and/or diseases of the cardiopulmonary system.
Rheumatology Our specialist provides inpatient and outpatient consultations and ongoing care for children and adolescents with rheumatologic and chronic inflammatory joint and bone diseases.
Surgery Our pediatric surgeons are specially qualified and treat congenital malformations, neoplasms, and inflammatory conditions occurring throughout childhood.
Some specialties are staffed by physicians from Akron Children's Hospital, who see patients at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
