Psychiatry (Mental Health)
Ongoing Research Studies
MetroHealth is nationally recognized for medical and psychiatric research. From laboratory to patient clinics, the staff believes in the resarch conducted at the hospital and hopes that discovery of new drugs may help to alleviate some of the ills that are experienced by mental health consumers. Excellence in research is fundamental in the ability to deliver outstanding care.
Staff members are invited to participate in both government research as well as industry sponsored trials. The Department fosters development of investigator initiated trials. Publishing is strongly encouraged and the faculty members are readily available for mentoring growth as a researcher. The research office provides full time support and liaison services with the Institutional Review Board and the Research Grants Office.
