This class prepares parents to be on what to expect and do during your labor and birth.  Our childbirth educators are certified and experienced perinatal nurses.  

This class includes:                

• Labor and birth processes
• Comfort options and pain relief
• Coping skills for labor and birth
• Pushing techniques
• Birth
• Caring for yourselves and baby after birth

Each five-week class series includes a tour of the birthing center, including a look at our birthing suites, and postpartum unit.

Please bring a blanket and pillow to class for the breathing and relaxation practice sessions.

Classes are offered on Mondays or Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
or *Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Saturdays offered in Series 6 only)

Location: All classes are held at MetroHealth Medical Center, Main Campus, in Rammelkamp 170.
