MetroHealth’s Dr. Ed Hills Selected as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists
(Cleveland, Ohio) – Interim Chief Operating Officer and Chair for the Department of Dentistry of The MetroHealth System, Ed Hills, D.D.S., was nominated and accepted fellowship in the American College of Dentists, a national honorary organization for dentists.
Dr. Hills joins an elite group of dentists – only about 3.5 percent of dentists in the country are named Fellows of the American College of Dentists. The College says that Dr. Hills was selected as a fellow due to his exceptional leadership, achievements and involvement in the dental profession and community.
“I am extremely honored to join the most talented dental professionals in the country as a fellow in the American College of Dentists,” said Hills. “I look forward to learning from my colleagues and working together to improve the direction of oral health.”
To be selected as a fellow, nominations must be provided by at least two other fellows and each application must be reviewed by a five-member committee of leaders in dentistry and oral health.
“The MetroHealth community is proud of Dr. Hills and we congratulate him on his fellowship,” said Dr. Alfred Connors, Chief Medical Officer. “Dr. Hills’ leadership has made a great impact on our Department of Dentistry and he will bring many positive contributions to the dental community nationwide.”
The American College of Dentists utilizes the knowledge and skills of its fellows to expand leadership in the dental profession and address challenges affecting dentistry, oral health and society.
