MetroHealth Ranked as a Top Hospital by U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report has once again ranked MetroHealth one of the top hospitals in Northeast Ohio — and in the state — while also naming its pulmonology practice 41st in the nation, according to the 2012-2013 Best Hospitals report.
In addition, U.S. News ranked nine more specialties at MetroHealth as high-performing.
“This latest ranking by U.S. News & World Report proves what employees and patients of MetroHealth have always known, that MetroHealth provides high-quality care in all of its specialties,” said Alfred Connors, MD, Chief Medical Officer at MetroHealth. “As we mark our 175th anniversary, we look forward to continuing to provide top-notch care to all, regardless of their ability to pay, for many more years to come.”
MetroHealth is renowned throughout the state and across the country for its research and advocacy in maternal-fetal medicine and trauma. The health system also is pioneering new ways to provide more primary care — keeping people healthy and out of expensive emergency rooms.
