Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center
The Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center is a consortium of nationally recognized academic leaders in gerontology and geriatric medicine. The WRGEC's mission is to improve health care for older adults by providing education, training, and consultation to faculty, health care professionals and consumers throughout the state of Ohio. Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship
This one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship is funded by the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Studying hospice and palliative medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center offers many advantages. Learn more.
Residents
In partnership with the MetroHealth Division of Internal Medicine, residents (PGY II and III, and MP4) follow a currciulum that involves the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center. In participation with University Hospitals residents receive training at Judson at University Circle, a retirement community.
Medical Students
In participation with students of Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, students follow a currciulum that involves the Western Reserve Geriatric Education Center. Several rotations and programs are available:
