"Postoperative management of OSA:  CPAP vs. AutoCPAP"

A study to look at the use of regular CPAP vs. self-adjusting CPAP in patients with known sleep apnea on CPAP at home on the night following lower abdominal or extremity surgery.  The patients undergo full sleep studies the night following surgery.

"HomePAP: Portable monitoring vs. in-lab Sleep Study."

Funding Source: The American Academy of Sleep Medicine

A study examining two different strategies of diagnosing and managing obstructive sleep apnea in patients suspected of having sleep apnea, but not yet diagnosed.  Subjects meeting study entry criteria are randomized to usual care (in-lab sleep study and CPAP titration) vs. a home evaluation and treatment pathway (home sleep study and self-adjusting CPAP).
