Fellow Student,

Thank you for your interest in Case Western Reserve University at MetroHealth Medical Center.  The Internal Medicine residency at MetroHealth is designed to train the pleuripotent internist and offers flexibility to allow you to meet your career goals be they subspecialty fellowship, hospital medicine or primary care in an academic or private setting.  Our greatest strength, though, is the autonomy we give the residents: You leave here thinking like an internist.

MetroHealth has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the historically "great teaching hospitals" due, in part, to its tri-partite Mission of research, education, and patient care regardless of the ability to pay.  Our residents learn in a scholarly atmosphere of inquiry with the satisfaction of helping patients who otherwise would receive no care.

Our program wishes to continue this noble tradition by attracting and matching those students who share these ideals.  I hope you will be one of them.
