The MetroHealth Department of Psychiatry is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate psychiatric and behavioral health services.

Our psychiatrists are certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and some hold advanced certification in psychosomatic medicine, addiction, geriatric or child and adolescent psychiatry. Psychologists in the department offer individual, family and group psychotherapy and perform neuropsychological assessments.

Specialized services for adults include inpatient treatment and clinical trials of new therapeutic interventions. Emergency psychiatric evaluation and stabilization services are available on a 24-hour basis through MetroHealth’s Emergency Department.
