Northeast Ohio’s Home for Health

For more than 180 years, we have opened our arms to our neighbors in Northeast Ohio. And over the decades our mission has always been clear: To lead the way to a healthier community and a healthier you.

For generations, we’ve worked alongside our community, breaking barriers to care, driving innovation, and showing up when it matters most.

Today, our team of more than 600 doctors, 1,700 nurses, and 8,000 dedicated professionals is more committed than ever to delivering the highest level of care. Care that is grounded in compassion. Built on respect. And driven by a passion for improving the lives of those we serve.

Because at MetroHealth, we are all united by one purpose. You.

A higher level of care.

As home to the region’s premier Level I Adult Trauma Center and Ohio’s only combined adult and pediatric trauma and burn center, we care for more than 300,000 patients each year with skill, compassion, and confidence.

Our goal: To prevent illness as effectively as we treat it.

At MetroHealth, our commitment reaches  far beyond our hospital walls and into the neighborhoods you call home.

With five hospitals, four emergency departments and more than a dozen health centers throughout Cuyahoga County, we’re here when you need us, supporting healthier lives across our region.

Because we’re committed to caring for everyone in our community, no matter their circumstances.

Care Built Around You.

Our goal is to deliver care that is accessible, personal, and supportive for everyone.

That means removing barriers and tailoring support to your needs.

We’re here when you need us, with:

Here, health is more than healthcare.

Your well-being is shaped by so much more than doctor visits. That’s why we created the Institute for H.O.P.E.™

H.O.P.E. stands for Health, Opportunity, Partnership, and Empowerment, and it reflects our commitment to addressing the root causes that shape long-term health.

Through strategic partnerships with community organizations, we’re working to build sustainable, healthier neighborhoods across the region. And by creating meaningful opportunities, we’re helping to empower individuals and families so they can thrive.

Need help finding healthy food? Looking for stable housing? Seeking job training or support with everyday needs? We’re here to connect you to the right resources.

Because feeling your best starts with having what you need to live well. Every single day.

Preparing the caregivers of tomorrow.

As an academic medical center, our physicians help train future caregivers through our partnership with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

At the high school level, we’re working with students from Lincoln-West School of Science & Health to learn alongside clinicians, making it the only high school in the nation located within a hospital.

In so many different ways, we are your home for health. Today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

We’ll see you at MetroHealth.
