Preliminary One-Year Program
The one-year program is designed to provide residents with an extensive exposure to internal medicine prior to entering subspecialty programs requiring one year of internal medicine exposure. The PGY-I year consists of approximately 7 months on various inpatient medical services, and roughly 5 ambulatory months and elective time selected by the resident from medicine subspecialties, emergency department, or non-medical services.

| General Medicine Wards including cardiac Telemetry unit and step-down unit
| Ambulatory Medicine Clinic
| Inpatient Oncology
*Electives are chosen from medicine subspecialties, radiology, anesthesia, Emergency Department, ICU, and other non-medical specialties.
